Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for an on-site contract role based in Birmingham. Experience in the gas, water, or electrical industries is essential. The successful candidate will oversee daily on-site operations, ensure high-quality delivery, enforce project timelines, and maintain strict budget control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily on-site construction activities.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with quality, safety, and programme requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and key project stakeholders.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety compliance across site operations.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors and site teams effectively.
• Resolve site-related challenges and issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting throughout all construction phases.
• Support commercial management activities where required.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in site management roles.
• Previous experience working within gas, water, or electrical industries.
• Strong understanding of commercial management principles.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and supervise subcontractors.
• Experience with construction processes, time management, and quality control.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification is essential.
